A man drove into a Hilton Head Island bar's parking lot Sunday morning, jumped out of his vehicle and began dancing while doing "ninja moves" with a hatchet and another weapon in his hands, according to a Beaufort County Sheriff's Office report.
Employees of the Greenwood Drive bar called 911 at about 11:30 a.m. after the man "got out of his vehicle with his shirt off and began dancing around with a hatchet and speaking in tongues," according to the report.
The man got into his vehicle and drove away, the report said.
A deputy stopped the driver of a station wagon matching the description of the man's vehicle. The driver, a 41-year-old island resident, immediately got out of his vehicle and began walking toward the deputy, the report said.
"Once he returned to his vehicle, he reached inside ... grabbed a hatchet and wooden cane and placed them on the ground," the report said.
