Nutrition company to open Lancaster facilities

A company that makes health and nutrition products for people and animals plans to open facilities in South Carolina and hire more than 200 people over the next five years.
Economic development officials said in a news release Tuesday that Nutramax Laboratories Inc. and Nutramax Manufacturing Inc. will invest more than $12 million in facilities in Lancaster County just south of Charlotte, N.C.
Nutramax president Todd Henderson says the Edgewood, Md.-based company founded by his father in 1992 has looked for three years for an expansion location.
The company makes a line of nutritional supplements for people, cats, dogs and horses as well as a line of products for to improve the growth of turfgrass.
