Work is complete on renovations to the open-air stalls at one of the most popular tourist attractions in South Carolina.
Three open-air buildings at Charleston's City Market will be open to visitors on Thursday.
It's part of a $5 million facelift for the market in the city's historic district. The market dates to the 1800s and was last refurbished more than 35 years ago.
The second part of the market project involves renovations to the enclosed Market Hall. That work begins in October after the height of the tourist season.
