The South Carolina baseball club known for its unusual promotions has come up with a new idea that could lead to a world record.
The Charleston RiverDogs and a local web site will attempt to set a world record on Friday for a game of telephone.
In the game, someone whispers a phrase to a fan on one side of the stadium and it's repeated through to the other side. The world record of 1,300 people was set two years ago in London.
Over the years, the RiverDogs have staged promotions such as Nobody Night, where fans were locked out until the late innings to set a minor-league record for low attendance.
Complaints scuttled a team promotion in which the team would give away a vasectomy for Father's Day.
