Cayce police have arrested a man in connection with a February hit-and-run accident that left a USC photography professor dead.
The Cayce Department of Public Safety announced Monday the arrest of William Craig Caughman, who was charged with leaving the scene of an accident involving death and obstruction of justice.
Fredric Tobias "Toby" Morriss was killed in the incident.
Police made the arrest after a Crimestoppers tip.
Officers found William Craig Caughmans vehicle, a green 2000 Ford Ranger pickup, hidden behind a shed belonging to his father, who lives in an adjacent residence. The passenger doors of the truck had been removed prior to hiding it behind the shed.
