South Carolina's attorneys are gathering to talk about proposed bylaw changes and ways to fund the state's judicial system.
The House of Delegates for the South Carolina Bar Association is meeting on Thursday in Columbia.
Supreme Court Chief Justice Jean Toal is expected to address members and swear in new officers. Columbia attorney Carl L. Solomon is the group's incoming president.
The group is planning to debate several proposals, including recommendations on ways to handle funding of the state's courts system.
The South Carolina Bar has more than 13,000 members.
