ICC Cricket Committee to hold two-day meeting at Lord’s

ICC Cricket Committee, chaired by Clive Lloyd, will hold their annual meeting at Lord’s Cricket Ground in London on 20/21 May 2010. Gary Kirsten, the India coach, is a new addition to the ICC Cricket Committee after being appointed to replace Mickey Arthur as the Full Member team coach representative.

The two-day meeting will  discuss the Decision Review System (DRS), research into the use of coloured cricket balls for floodlit Test cricket, the format of ODI cricket and the switch hit/reverse sweep. There will also be a review of the Laws 2010 edition and the impact on standard playing conditions as well as reports from the Women’s Cricket Committee and the Medical Committee.

A media conference will be held at the conclusion of the ICC Cricket Committee. The conference will not be before 3pm on Friday 21, May and will be held in the Thomas Lord Suite at lord’s Cricket ground. Media should advise Colin Gibson, ICC Head of Media and Communications, of their intended attendance at colin.gibson@icc-cricket.com. Broadcasters wishing to bring OB vans should contact MCC Media Manager Clare Skinner on +44 7960 869826 in advance of the conference. Approved OB vans should enter the Lord’s Cricket ground via the Grace Gates only. Unfortunately there is no other parking for media available at Lord’s.
