Independent Television Network’s new Chairman assumes duties.
Veteran media personality Rosmand Senaratne is the new Chairman of ITN. He assumed duties amidst the blessings of the Maha Sangha this morning. He is a product of Ananda College Colombo and has a wide experience of nearly 45 years in the radio and television media fields. He has begun his Television Media career in 1979 from ITN. Ministry Secretaries, Heads of institutions and Scholars were among the gathering present to extend greetings to the new Chief of ITN.
Addressing the staff, Rosmand Senaratne said he is prepared to utilize his optimum strength for the advancement of Sri Lanka’s numer one TV Channel.
He said that he is personally satisfied of the opportunity he had received to move forward with the staff who he consider as brothers. He was optimistic that moving forward would be an easy task with an efficient and dedicated staff.
Secretary to the Ministry of Cooperatives and Internal Trade and ITN’s former Chairman Anura Siriwardena, Media Secretary W.B. Ganegala who served as the Acting Chairman of ITN, joined in extending greetings to the new Chairman.
ITN, the family channel is prepared to steer on a long path as the Channel of the Motherland with the new leadership. The Engineering, Programmes, News, Marketing, Management and all other sectors excelled in the radio and television media will be supporting in this effort.
