A man Rock Hill Police have been looking for since December ? wanted in two shootings and an armed robbery ? appeared shocked Wednesday when a judge told him he would not be allowed out of jail on bond.
?Why not?? 18-year-old Antwan Agurs asked Municipal Judge Denise Mundy during a court hearing.
Mundy said she denied bond for the teen for the community?s safety. Agurs is charged with 13 crimes in connection with three gun-related incidents, including two instances in which victims were shot in the back.
Agurs, who had been labeled Rock Hill?s ?most wanted,? was arrested Tuesday after a police manhunt was amped up by Crime Stoppers publishing his picture in an advertisement and commercial campaign.
It was a Crime Stoppers tip that led police to a house where Agurs was arrested.
