The stage is set for the IIFA 2010 Awards Festival and the cream of Bollywood has started pouring into Colombo. Deputy Minister Lakshman Yapa Abeywardena visited the Airport to monitor the facilities provided there for the foreign representatives.
The Minister said that all organizational work has been completed. Arrangements have been made at the Sugathadasa Stadium, the BMICH and grounds where the charity cricket match which will be played. Initial arrangements have been completed for the Fashion Show. Bollywood stars have already begun to arrive in the island. He was optimistic that everyone would reach the country within the next two days. In addition to extending security to the stars, they can also have a glimpse of our country.
During the visit to the Katunayake International Airport, the Minister adverted his attention to the necessary facilities that are being provided for the foreign representatives who are arriving in Colombo to participate in the IIFA Festival and other sectors.
