De Silva, the former vice captain of Sri Lanka’s 1996 World Cup winning team, was appointed as the new chairman of the selectors on Monday. He said he plan to groom a blend of youth and experience to form the 15-member squad for the 2011 World Cup that will be played in Sri Lanka, India and Bangladesh.
