The members of the Post Conflict Reconciliation Commission met with the President last evening. The Commission is assigned the task of discovering and revealing the causes that led to the situation faced by the people due to terrorist activities.
The Commission consists of eight members. It is for the 1st time that the members of the Commission met the President. It has been decided to locate the Commission at the Lakshman Kadiragamar Institute of International Relations and Strategic Studies. Any Sri Lankan citizen is eligible to make submissions before the Commission. Parliamentarian Prof. Rajiv Wijesinghe, Secretary to the President Lalith Weeratunge and Secretary to the Ministry of External Affairs Romesh Jayasinghe were present.
