Fonseka loyalists ditch him and the party

Sarath Fonseka has betrayed the country. He will not receive further support from them. These views have been expressed by several military officials who extended their support to the Democratic National Alliance. They were addressing journalists in Colombo today.

Capt. Sanjeeva Kandanarachchi, who served as the chief Administrative Officer of Sarath Fonseka’s polls campaign said their future is not remaining with persons who do not have a future or vision. The future will be bright if the country is developed. Their need was not to hold a particular party or an individual.

Capt. Udaya Dissanayake, Matara Coordinating Secretary of Sarath Fonseka’s Presidential poll campaign said Fonseka is a person who is greed of power. He had betrayed the country. This was the reasons that they ditched him.

Major Nishantha Mallikarachchi the Colombo Coordinating Secretary of Fonseka’s Presidential poll campaign noted that they expected to march forward with a person who works for a leadership. There is no future by remaining with him. There is also no future for the Democratic National Alliance.

Major Samantha Kalyanaratne, who contested the DNA from the Kegalle District pointed out that they got involved with Fonseka as war heroes. He betrayed the war heroes. When they rejected them, he queried as to who they could think of a journey from now onwards

Three candidates who contested the Democratic National Alliance for the general election, six District Coordinators and 17 Electoral Organisers also joined in this news briefing.
