A Sunday night fire burned a vacation home on Shull Island in Lake Murray.
The fire at 2121 Shull Avenue was reported around 9 p.m., the Lexington County Fire Service said. Crews arriving about 16 minutes later found heavy flames at the house, which was not being used Sunday.
Gusts from a thunderstorm made the fire spread quickly, fire officials said. It took 25 firefighters an hour to bring the blaze under control.
One firefighter was treated for a heat-related illness, the fire service said.
A cause for the fire has not been determined, although officials said there were no signs of arson involvement.
