A storm turned up a possible deadly crime in Newberry County.
Power utility crews cleaning up storm damage Monday morning found a body in the Sumter National Forest.
An autopsy has been completed but the Newberry County Sheriff's Office is withholding announcing whether the body was the victim of foul play pending some test results, the office said.
The utility workers found the body, which still is unidentified, around 11 a.m. on David Branch Road off Jalapa Road. Experts estimate it had been there for about a week based on the state of decomposition.
The body was described as that of white male clothed in black athletic shorts, a dark shirt and white canvas tennis shoes.
