Democratic National Alliance Parliamentarian Sarath Fonseka can attend the Commonwealth Parliamentary Meeting if there is no legal obstruction.
Minister Keheliya Rambukwella made this reference addressing a news conference at the Media Centre for National Security. He said that as a Parliamentarian, Sarath Fonseka’s name has been nominated in keeping with the Parliamentary privileges. However, on the other hand he is under detention and is on a judicial procedure. In that context, he has to get judicial clearance to leave the country to attend the Commonwealth Parliamentary Assoociation Conference.
