Blythewood woman struck, killed crossing highway

A Blythewood woman walking across Wilson Boulevard was struck and killed by a car Thursday night.
The 47-year-old woman, whose identity was not immediately available, was crossing the highway around 9:45 p.m. when she was struck by a Honda Civic driven by Mary K. Marvin, 20, also of Blythewood, S.C. Highway Patrol Lance Cpl. Josef Robinson said.
The pedestrian was wearing dark, non-reflective clothing and walked into the path of the car, Robinson said. Marvin was uninjured.
The incident remains under investigation.
