The S.C. State Election Commission is reporting light to very light turnout in today's runoff. That's compared to the June 8 primary when nearly a quarter of the state's 2.5 million voters cast a ballot. Four Republican races for statewide offices are in a runoff: the races for governor; lieutenant governor; S.C. education superintendent; and attorney general.
Moderate turnout is being reported in counties with hotly contested downticket races, including Fairfield County's House race in which Democrat incumbent Rep. Boyd Brown is facing off with Fairfield County Councilman Kamau Marcharia. -- Gina Smith
