Japan gives 2877 million rupees as financial assistance for the development of the Jaffna Teaching Hospital.
The related MOU was inked at the Health Ministry today. Health Secretary Dr. Ravindra Ruberu and Singo Kuroda, Director of the Hospital Development Project, representing the Japanese Government signed the agreement. The Japanese International Cooperation Agency will be providing the required financial grants. The development work is expected to be completed within 21 months. A Surgical Complex, an ICU and a Central Laboratory Complex are among the facilities that will be provided to the Jaffna Teaching Hospital under this programme.
