Indian Trade Fair 2010 is scheduled to be held in Sri Lanka in August.
The Indian Trade Fair will showcase over 160 exhibitors from all parts of India. Sectors will include agriculture, fisheries, plantations, manufacturing, engineering and construction, power and energy, tourism, healthcare. ICT, banking and finance and education services are among the other fields. An investor forum will be held simultaneously with the trade fair.
This will encourage Indian businessmen to have strategic tie-ups such as collaborations and joint ventures with their Sri Lankan counterparts. The Federation of the Chamber of Commerce and Industries of Sri Lanka will also act as a regulator to have a control over penetration into Sri Lankan marketplace by foreign investors.
The Indian Trade Fair is being held for the eighth year. India has been in the forefront of technological development in the region. Sri Lanka is tagged as the emerging business hub of Asia and investors in the region have shown great keenness in setting up their businesses in Sri Lanka.
