President Rajapaksa has invited the business community in Ukraine to come forward and make investments in Sri Lanka sans any fear.
He told them that massive development was taking place in the port, transportation, power, commercial and education sectors. President Rajapaksa made this observation when he met with the business community in Ukraine. Today Sri Lanka is among the group of countries where a conducive environment prevails for investment. Road development is taking place fast linking the entire country.
The President pointed out that Sri Lanka will soon become a hub of international trade through the construction of new harbours. As a result, there is more opportunity to expand economic relations between the two countries. The President expressed confidence that entrepreneurs from Ukraine will visit Sri Lanka in the future.
Today is the second day of the President’s official visit to Ukraine. The official meeting between Prime Minister Michael Ashrov and the President is scheduled for this morning. The President will also inspect a Defence University. He will also address the defence officials who study at the university. A meeting between the President and the Ukrainian Defence Minister will also be held.
