Cayce isnt chipping in $25,000 to help run a new regional center for the homeless.
The subsidy was omitted from a spending plan adopted by City Council late Wednesday.
Council members felt finances are too tight to approve the proposal, assistant city manager Tammy Barkleysaid, adding it will be looked at later if revenue improves.
Cayce is the only holdout as Richland County, Lexington County, Columbia and West Columbia provided larger amounts of aid for the center, due to open in April in downtown Columbia.
