President Rajapaksa will hold talks with Ukrainian Deputy Prime Minister today.
Today is the third day of the official visit of the President to Ukraine. The Presidential Media Unit said the President has also planned to visit several places of cultural interest today. The meeting between the President and the Deputy Prime Minister will provide another opportunity to strengthen bilateral relations between the two countries.
Addressing the Senior Defence Officers at the National Defence University in Ukraine yesterday, the President explained about the amazing victories achieved against terrorists. The meeting between the President and Prime Minister Mykola Azarov took place last evening. The Prime Minister stated that the space knowledge possessed by the Ukrainian Government will be made available to Sri Lanka. A knowledge exchange programme is already underway between Brazil and Ukraine. He said Sri Lanka will also be added to the programme. Expressing his views President Rajapaksa said IT knowledge in Sri Lanka remains at a high level. The President pointed out the space knowledge would contribute for better results in this sector.
