The Health Advisory Council has been appointed. Its intention is to further strengthen and make the health service more efficient.
The appointment of the Advisory Council took place under the patronage of Health Minister Maithripala Sirisena in Colombo today. The goal of appointing this Health Advisory Council is to provide an efficient health service to the public, increase productivity, overcome corruption and wastage and expedite development. Its term of operation will be three years. The Council is headed by the Health Minister and its Deputy is the Deputy Minister of Health. Many Parliamentarians, Chief Ministers, all Provincial Health Ministers and Hospital Directors were among the large gathering present.
