Law enforcement agencies working on the Anthony Hill murder investigation plan a meeting to update area residents this week on progress in the high-profile case.
The South Carolina State Law Enforcement Division, Newberry County Sheriff's Office and the U.S. District Attorney's Office will answer questions about the case 6 p.m. Thursday at Newberry High School, 3113 Main St., a SLED news release said.
A suspect in Hill's June 2 death, Gregory Collins, remains in jail without bail. Evidence showed that after he was killed, Hill's body was dragged for 10 miles behind a vehicle before the rope snapped and the body came to rest on U.S. 176.
In its release, SLED said the "community, and most especially the family of Anthony Hill, are well-served by a full, fair investigation."
