Thirimanne slams century against Indians

Promising youngster Lahiru Thirimanne slammed a quick century as the three day practice match between Sri Lanka Board Presidents XI and India played at the Colts ground ended in a draw with the two captains agreeing to call off the match after the Sri Lanka Board Presidents XI had made 260 for 6 after opting to bat the second time and facing 61.1 overs.
Thirimanne struck 102 in 142 balls with nine fours and two sixes and added 113 runs for the second wicket in just 15 overs with another young star DInesh Chandimal. Chandimal’s quickfire 56-ball innings of 69 had nine fours and four sixes.
Thirimanne followed up his knock of 66 in the first inning. The Indian bowler were again made to toil for their wickets with spinner Pragyan Ojha who had a five wicket haul in the first inning again coming out as the top bowler claiming three wickets.
