S.C. conservation groups are seeking donations to help with wildlife rescue efforts in the Gulf of Mexico, site of what many agree is the nations worst environmental disaster.
Rescue workers need sunscreen, clipboards, backpacks, hats, pens, water bottles, GPS units and bug repellents, according to the S.C. Wildlife Federation. People also can donate gift cards for purchase of materials workers need.
In Columbia, people can drop off donations or mail gift cards to the S.C. Wildlife Federation at 215 Pickens St., Columbia SC 29205.
For more details, see the federations website at www.scwf.org or call (803) 256-0670.
