Members of the Columbia Tea Party will rally outside a Friday fundraiser for U.S. Rep. John Spratt that Vice President Joe Biden will attend.
Organizers said they want to send a clear message that we are bringing John Spratt home for good.
The rally will be held across the street from the State Museum entrance from 1 to 4 p.m.
In an e-mail to members, Tea Party organizers encouraged members to bring signs, including those that are anti-Spratt or those touching on national events, such as the pending Supreme Court nomination of Elena Kagan.
Hit the issues! Please use good judgment in your signage, an e-mail to Tea Party members said. This is a BIG event! The Vice President of the United States! Lots of attention, lots of cameras. Lets get noticed!
