Two men face charges in connection with a 27-pound box of rib eye steaks worth nearly $200 stolen from a food companys warehouse.
James Walker Mobley, 55, was arrested and charged with possession of stolen goods last week in connection with a case of steaks stolen from Performance Food Group on Firetower Road in Rock Hill, according to a York County Sheriffs Office report.
Jeff Davis Brown Jr., 38, of Chester also faces theft charges in connection with the incident.
An employee told deputies the company had been missing cases of steaks for weeks, the report said. One case is worth $189, the report said.
One day last week, the employee said told deputies he caught Brown and Mobley move a box of steaks from inside a freezer suit to the truck of one of their cars, the report said.
