Information has been bared on several foreign employment rackets. Raids have been conducted by the Special Investigation Unit of the Foreign Employment Bureau.
A suspect who had defrauded 900,000 rupees under the pretext of finding jobs in Israel has been arrested. The suspect was produced before Kesbewa Magistrate’s Court and sentenced to remand prison until 23rd of next month.
Meanwhile the Foreign Employment Bureau apprehended two suspects who were engaged in a foreign employment racket hear the Courts Complex in Hultfsdorp. The Bureau said they were nabbed while they were engaged in a racket of providing jobs in Afghanistan. After being produced in Courts each of them were enlarged on a cash bail of 20,000 rupees and a personal bail of 500,000 rupees.
The Special Investigation Unit of the Foreign Employment Bureau had also succeeded in raiding an illegal foreign job agency which was operating sans a license in Maradana. The proprietor of the Agency Time Asia was apprehended. In addition several fake documents were also seized. The suspect was produced in the Maligakanda Court.
