A Sri Lankan fishing craft has run ashore on the beaches of South Africa.
This fishing craft went missing from the 22nd of February this year. The craft is reported to have set sail from Beruwela. The crew had been the boat’s owner and three others. They have been identified as Sarath Perera, Suresh, Bermy and R. Manoj.
The four had been in the boat and rescued by the South African Coast Guard while drifting close to the shore. The Ministry of External Affairs is discussing with its South African counterpart regarding arrangements to get the fishermen back to the island.
