Navy Commander visits the Korean ship

Commander of the Navy Vice Admiral Tisara Samarasinghe visits the Korean Naval Ship “Wang Geon” at the Colombo Harbour.

He was warmly greeted by Commanding Officer of the vessel Capt. Suk Jong. Korea’s Ambassador to Sri Lanka Choi Ki Chul and Senior Officers of the Sri Lanka Navy were present on this occasion. They exchanged mementos marking the event. The Korean Naval ship arrived at the Colombo Harbour on a goodwill visit on the 22nd of this month. It is a destroyer belonging to the South Korean Navy. The vessel is 149 metres long. The ship complement consists of 42 Officers and 264 sailors. The ship was due to leave the harbour today.
