Government’s desire to mould creative younger generation

President Rajapaksa says that a labour force which meets the demands of the job market should be created in the country. He is of the view that this objective can be achieved by moulding a creative future generation of children.

The President was addressing a ceremony organized to declare open the new three storied building of the Narawelpitya Vidyalaya in Hakmana.

The President further said that attention should be adverted to developing extra curricular activities of the children. He opined that a peaceful environment has been created for the children without the sounds of gunfire, to engage in educational activities without fear.

L.H. Piyasena Company funded the construction of the building. It is equipped with a modern laboratory, an auditorium and a computer Laboratory. The expenditure incurred is 60 million rupees.
