Prosecutors say a South Carolina teen who helped a friend fulfill his fantasy of being a gangster by killing another man was sentenced to 45 years in prison.
Authorities told WBTW-TV that 18-year-old A.J. Woye pleaded guilty to murder Monday in the 2008 death of 17-year-old Jeremiah Jenkins.
Investigators say Woye was following orders from Donovan Roman, who is serving a life sentence in Jenkins' killing.
Prosecutors say Roman wanted to be a gangster and lured Jenkins to an abandoned home in Florence, where he was beaten and stabbed by Roman, Woye and another man who had put together an imaginary crime organization.
Jenkins' body was stuffed in a wall of the home and wasn't found for almost a month.
