Richland Councilman Jim Manning, who suffered a blood clot in his lung Saturday night, is out of the hospital and recovering at home.
Manning, 54, said he’ll be on a blood thinner for the next six to 12 months.
“The doctor has no idea what the cause of it was,” Manning said, adding that his family has no history of problems.
The first-term councilman, who lives in Forest Acres, was released Tuesday from Providence Northeast. He said he’ll ease back into work. It should help that County Council takes off the month of August.
