The U.S. State Department has said that there is no legal basis to the UN Panel on Sri Lanka appointed by Ban Ki Moon.
The US State Department announced a new ruling recently Accordingly the US Justice Department emphasized that the revealing of war secrets is illegal. Ban Ki Moon appointed a three member Panel to look into Sri Lanka. However, the Chief of the US Justice Department said that they have no right to reveals war secrets in Sri Lanka. UN Panel representatives have no opportunity of operating within the country.
