A concentration that increases the sap obtained from the young “Kithul” inflorescence is introduced through this technique. The concentration has been produced as a result of the research carried out by Dr. J.A.S. Premakumara of the Industrial Technology Institute. It increases the sap obtained from the Kithul inflorescence up to 80 percent. This would provide an opportunity to meet the demand in the world market for Kithul Treacle with low sugar content. The concentration known as Casper can be obtained from District Offices of the Agrarian Services Department outlets and branches of the Industrial Technology Institute.
