Remember coming home from school to a plate of warm cookies and a glass of cold milk? Recapture that feeling starting next week when a new store in Five Points begins serving up that classic American snack.Insomnia Cookies
, which has been operating for two years out of a traveling 25-foot trailer, will open a new shop at 2013 Devine St. late next week serving its signature cookies and milk (and some new offerings) from lunchtime until 3 a.m. daily.
It will be the first store the N.Y.-based company has opened in the South.
While the trailer catered more to the late-night college crowd, opening at 8 p.m., the store will target all age ranges, with seating areas and wireless Internet, owner Seth Berkowitz
said. The 2,000-square-foot space next to Jimmy John’s allows the company to offer ice cream, cupcakes and a variety of coffees, he said.
