Republican gubernatorial candidate Nikki Haley thinks the key to increasing job creation in eliminating the corporate income tax, strengthening the state’s technical colleges and loosening regulations on businesses.
Haley unveiled her jobs plan today. The Lexington state representative is traveling across South Carolina, meeting with media to discuss her plans to lead a state where unemployment rate is among the nation’s highest. South Carolina’s unemployment rate is 11 percent.
"South Carolina’s rich natural resources, hardworking families, and innovative small businesses have long been the envy of other states,” Haley said in a statement. “We need to maximize the opportunities in South Carolina to strengthen our state’s businesses, create jobs, and cut our unemployment rate, and that's why I'm pleased to unveil our plan to do just that, 'Less Talk. More Jobs.'"
