The World Health Oganisation is giving assistance for the treatment of critical dengue patients.
Dengue patients who are in a critical stage die as a result in the drop in the blood count. The World Health Organisation has provided 1900 bottles of Dextron 40 which can be provided to critical patients in the form of saline. It was officially handed over to the Health Ministry today. WHO Resident Representative in Sri Lanka handed over the stock to Minister Maithripala Sirisena.
