India will fund projects worth 20 Million US dollars in Sri Lanka.
The Indian High Commissioner in Sri Lanka Ashok K. Kantha revealed this when he addressed the function held on India’s Independence Day. The 64th Indian Independence Day celebration was held at the Indian High Commission in Colombo today. The Indian National Anthem was sung after the High Commissioner hoisted the National flag. A cultural programme was held after a Guard-of-Honour was accorded by the Indian Security forces. Expressing his views, High commissioner Ashok K. Kantha said that launching the development projects in Sri Lanka will improve the goodwill between the two countries.
