17 suspects against whom arrest warrants had been issued were taken into custody.
A special search operation was conducted jointly by the Puttalam, Kalpitiya and Pallam Police until the wee hours of today.
The Puttalama and Kalpitiya Police have arrested seven suspects in the operation launched last night. Another three suspects, wanted by the Police were arrested by the Pallama Police.
The suspects will be produced before the Puttalam and Anamaduwa District Courts.
