Rock Hill man gets 17 years for manufacturing meth

YORK COUNTY -- A Rock Hill man was sentenced to 17 years in prison last week after pleading guilty to manufacturing methamphetamine.

Ronald Timothy Boozer, 42, pleaded guilty to manufacturing methamphetamines, second offense, after a day of testimony in his trial in York County, said16th Circuit Assistant Solicitor Jenny Desch.

Judge John Hayes sentenced Boozer to 17 years in prison. He had been convicted of manufacturing methamphetamines in York County before after pleading no contest in October 2009.

Last December, he was caught with ingredients to manufacture meth, the release states. Officers found chemicals to make meth and some finished product in his house when it was searched Dec. 13, according to testimony presented at trial last week.

He was arrested 10 days later after being found with more chemicals to make the drug, she said.
