Former Army Commander and DNA parliamentarian Sarath Fonseka today (19) called on the main opposition UNP not limit itself to words and to do more to support DNA activities against undemocratic acts of the government.
Fonseka told a press conference convened in parliament today that there was much more the UNP could do in the fight for democracy in the country.
“They must not limit themselves to words but must act as well,” Fonseka said.
He observed that the UNP as a powerful political party would be a strength to the DNA.
According to Fonseka, the DNA is at the receiving end of the brickbats by the government and the UNP must also face the same brickbats.
