The vehicles left by the civilians in the special security zone during the conflict will be handed over to their owners from tomorrow.
District Secretary of Kilinochchi Rupawathi Ketheeswaran said that the vehicles belonging to the residents of Kilinochchi can be obtained at the District Secretariat. The owners have to present the relevant document to take them back. The civilians who fled from the Tiger terrorists left the vehicles in a special security zone introduced by the Security Forces. The District Secretary said that 100 cars and 7500 motor cycles will be handed over to their owners tomorrow. She further said that the decision was made after holding discussions with the Transport Minister and the Commissioner of Motor Vehicles.
