July comes in like a lion! Many people are waking up without power this morning after strong storms pushed through around midnight. The highest wind gust recorded, via our WeatherBug network, was 74 mph in Seat Pleasant, MD. The wet and stormy weather is out of here. Today will actually be rather dry with sunshine and highs in the upper 80s. Tonight remains dry with rain and storm chances returning tomorrow. The stalled frontal boundary offshore will provide additional chances of wet weather, Thursday, especially south of D.C. The front will stick around throughout the holiday weekend, which will continue to provide threats of showers and storms. As of right now, there may be slightly higher chances of storms come late Saturday, which may impact fireworks displays. Remember, the weekend is still a few days away. The forecast continues to evolve. Stay tuned!
