News1st Classroom 183rd Edition gets high scores at Katugastota Samudhradevi Girls’ School
The 183rd edition of News1st Classroom – a programme organised to increase media literacy of students – commenced at the Samudhradevi Girls’ School in Katugastota on Friday.
The News 1st team was given a warm reception, upon their arrival at the school, by the principal, teachers and students. Executive officers of the Capital Maharaja Organisation also participated in the event.
The students who were educated on news-reporting and the use of media and were also given the opportunity to showcase their talents.
Members of the News1st team were able to educate the students on the widespread use of New Media, communication and production of programmes. The students were taught about the fundamentals of media through theory.
