No room for political anarchy – President

President Rajapaksa has emphatically stated that there is no room for political anarchy. He said that Asia’s robust state has been built.

The President pointed out that all public service personnel should be dedicated on behalf of the people and the country. He referred to completion of work on the harbour and its handing over nine months in advance. He cited how flyovers were being built within 60 days. IT has developed in the world. The President queried as to how many days are taken to receive a reply by mail. As to his knowledge, it takes about 14 days. The President also queried whether the country was to enter the future within such as environment. A public service devoid of lethargic attitudes is the need of the era. He said there were times when the public service demonstrated great commitment and efficiency. The President urged them to maintain the same situation when it comes to serving the day to day needs of the public.

The President was addressing the 28th Annual Convention of the Sri Lanka Administration Service in Colombo today. In development, the Government should work handed in hand with the State Service. By doing so it is possible to achieve successful results. The President underscored that the Mahinda Chinthana path has been directed toward the orodinary masses. Minister W.D.J.Seneviratne, Deputy Minister Dilan Perera, Acting President’s Secretary Gamini Senarath and a large gathering of Senior Government officials were present on the occasion.
