ITN wins Bronze Award for most Innovative Brand of the Year
Independent Television Network is again feted for the outstanding change effected in the business sector.
The “SLIM Brand Excellence 2010” Awards Festival organized by the Sri Lanka Marketing Institute to appreciate the most innovative brands of the year, was held on a grand scale in Colombo yesterday. Minister Keheliya Rambukwella was the Chief Guest. ITN won the Bronze award for the most Innovative Brand of the Year at this function. It was awarded for the significant changes effected by the media establishment.
Deputy General Manager Marketing Upali Ranjith accepted the award on behalf of ITN. Seylan Bank won the Gold Award for the Most Innovative Brand of the Year, while Munchee was honoured with the year’s Best Brand name Award. ITN was proposed for the Best Service Brand name. In addition to ITN only one other media channel was honoured. ITN which has been honoured with the Best Channel of the Year, the People’s Channel and the Youth Channel for several years consecutively was the only State media channel, to be feted surpassing many leading private establishments.
