GCE Advanced Level Examinations to commence
The 2015 GCE Advanced Level Examinations will commence today, Tuesday, August 4.
Commissoner General of Examinations, W.M.N.J. Pushpakumara said that 309,069 candidates will be facing the examination this year. 236,072 are school candidates while 72,997 are private candidates.
The Commissioner General of Examinations requests all candidates to be present at their examination hall with adequate time to prepare themselves.
He added that carrying or using mobile phones to the examination hall is strictly prohibited. Furthermore, any malpractices that occur in or in the vicinity of the examination hall will be reported to the Department of Examinations and to the police.
